    FEBRUARY - MARCH 2000
Valentine Gift from Grandmother BethOn February 6, 2000, I contacted Grandmother Beth to request permission for the use of a digital painting she had created.  In response to my query, I received a most heartfelt message from Mrs. Gibson.  And to my extreme delight, the following day, this beautiful picture arrived in my email - another original from Grandmother Beth, which is now on my wall, framed.  Sadly, after a lengthy illness, the world lost lost a wonderful woman, artist, and friend in 2002.  Beth Williams Gibson will live on in the hearts of those she never personally met, but whom she touched through her writing and music.  Her WEB SITE remains on-line, a tribute to a remarkable lady.  To see the full size version in its own window, as it was intended to be viewed, click HERE.
    Smiley's Zone (no longer on-line)
February 12, 2000  - The Computer Friends Web Ring has a welcoming committee and when you join, the members pay a visit to your site.  Unlike other rings, they take the extra time and effort to sign your guest book and actually go through the pages you've worked so hard to create.  Instead of just getting the usual form email stating GET YOUR CODE UP NOW order (even though you've already done this) you have a myriad of messages in your guest book from these wonderful people, welcoming you into their group, offering assistance and encouragement.  And the added bonus is that you have a whole new set of sites to explore.  This was a gift from Melissa, web master of Smiley's Zone and a Computer Friends member.  Thank you, Melissa.
