UPDATED: June 16, 2006 - ORGANIC ART IS NOW CLOSED.
William Latham studied Fine Art at Oxford and was subsequently a Henry Moore Scholar at the Royal College of Art.
Latham has had many exhibitions at major venues around the world, including touring exhibitions of Japan, Australia, Germany and the United Kingdom.  He co-authored a book with Steven Todd in 1992, titled ‘Evolutionary Art and Computers’.  A detailed explanation of evolutionary art, which literally breeds aesthetically pleasing forms, appears under the THE EVOLUTIONARY ART OF STEVEN ROOKE.

William Latham’s art appears on the pages of Computer Artworks, his commercial site.  The site opens with a Flash intro and then automatically takes you to the main page. From the menu on the left, select Artworks to begin your tour with an introductory explanation of the work.  Each image on the page is a link to a larger, more detailed picture.  Under Products, Visit Organic Art, where you will see beautiful images generated by a program Latham developed that you can use to create these 3D organic forms as screen savers for your own computer.  The program includes CD quality music and is available for purchase from his site.  Mr. Latham's most recent project is called Organic Sound To Light (OSL) and is currently still under production.  In his own words --

"Individuals will be able to run their own unique light shows from their PC or TV monitor and at a press of the button email them to friends and colleagues. Alternatively, OSL can be run off plasma screens and projectors at major public events such as clubs, concerts and parties, producing outstanding organic light shows and unique audio organic scenes."  --  William Latham 2002
