| If
you've been visiting my sites in order, you'll recall some of the music
from Tommy Williams of Williams Holler. You'll see pieces of artwork
contributed by Judith Williams and Mary Broussard scattered throughout
occasional pages. And if you're a Nintendo player, you'll recognize tunes
from games such as Final Fantasy, which fit perfectly with the whole theme.
The 8 sections are divided into Wizards, Unicorns, Mystic, Queens, Earth, Ocean and Faerie. The Unicorn Realm tells the story of how unicorns came to be with beautiful graphics, poetry and music. My favorite? The Last Unicorn. For those who know me well, you'll understand. The Queen's Realm is Sissi's tribute to other ladies of the web with links to their sites. It provides a gateway to even more places outside of her domain. The Wizard's Realm currently has only 2 pages, but supplies links to other sites dealing with the subject. The Ocean Realm is composed of dolphins, mermaids, and the tale of Clytie -- a charming fantasy on the creation of Sunflowers. And don't miss out on the Faerie Realm. In it, you will find 36 different flower faeries that you can "adopt". I was tempted to put one or two on this page, but I didn't want to spoil your visit by previewing the little darlings here. You''ll have fun looking for the 5 faeries who got lost while out sprinkling faerie dust (and you can win a prize while your at it). About halfway down the first page you arrive at from this location, is a site map. At the top of the map, clicking on HOME will take you to the opening page for the whole site when you're ready to start viewing the other areas. In Sissi's World, there's a great section titled Newbies written in plain English (no tech talk) for those of us who are just beginning to explore the Internet with everything from tips on how to use browsers and search engines (with links to her picks) right on up to designing our own web pages. And yes, it's extremely simple the way Sissi explains it. Pretty much everything you need to know to get you started in the right direction with no confusing computer lingo. The part labeled Postcards holds unique electronic greeting cards. It differs from your run-of-the-mill e-mail greetings in that it is user defined. You customize the cards starting from pre-set designs. Sissi is a professional web site designer who developed a marvelous little "CD player" interface for web pages that could play up to 18 midi files. The CD players were available for only $10.00 and Sissi provided you with all the HTML you needed to get the thing up and running in minutes. Words cannot even begin to do this site justice. It's actively updated so it's constantly changing. You could spend months exploring and still not find everything. Sissi has considerately provided a main index link at the bottom of almost every page so that if you get "lost", you can always find your way back. You'll want to re-visit often. And take your children with you. To start your adventure, click on Fantasy Realm's logo at the top of this page. <== BACK |
