Some of the most beautiful images on the internet are created using a program by MetaCreations, the most recent version being Bryce 4.  While looking around for information about the software, I stumbled onto Grandmother Beth's site, and became so absorbed in her pages that it wasn't until several hours later that I went back to my search.  Bryce allows you to build scenes using basic objects, then assigning textures and light.  And Grandmother Beth has utilized the Bryce programs to their fullest.
Galleries
The primary focus, it holds nineteen distinct galleries of Beth's art plus a link to her Special Friends galleries where she displays the work of five artists and provides a link to each of their web sites.  Galleries one through ten offer the standard enlarged view, while most images in galleries eleven through fourteen are presented in three different sizes and a higher resolution that fills your screen with lush renderings.  The picture on the main gallery page, Ship Wrecked on Golden Reef, can be viewed in its enlarged version, in gallery number thirteen.  There are three ‘series’ galleries - Antares Visions, Sea Seasons & Times (my favorite), and Steel Heart.  Antares Visions is illustrated verse.  Sea Seasons & Time contains exquisite landscapes.  And Steel Heart depicts seduction and abandonment with a metallic finish.  Dreams & Visions and Scripture Art are the two most recent additions.  Scripture Art holds three galleries of Beth's art and original music, which she has graciously made available, free of charge, for personal & church work   The images make beautiful desktop art for your computer.  Also included is a link to a postcard site utilizing Beth's creations.

The Writers Chamber, as the name implies, contains pieces written by Beth over the past 4 decades, from 1960 to the present.

Bwana Bill's Stories are tales of William Gibson’s adventures in places such as Ghana, Nepal, Peru, and Pakistan.

Links & Tributes holds a large listing of other artistic sites and Bryce resources.

You won't find any free web graphics here - just pure visual pleasure.  Click on the picture at the top of the page to seek beauty and peace in Beth's writings and designs.

December 2002 -- It is with deep sadness I share the somber news that the art world has lost Grandmother Beth.   Retired in 1989, she spent the last years of her life in Houston, Texas and after a lengthy illness, passed away in late 2002.  Beth Williams Gibson will live on in the hearts of those she never personally met, but whom she touched through her writing and music.  Her web site will remain on-line, lovingly tended to by her family - a tribute to a remarkable lady.
