January left absolutely
no time for me to work on, or make additions, to these pages. I've
been building more and more sites for others, and doing a substantial amount
of print work. While that's a good thing, it means that I have to
neglect this site in order to fulfill the other commitments. The
most recent site I completed was for ILLUSIONS
HAIR SALON & DAY SPA. In the works,
is one for a hotel in rural Manitoba, and another one for a company offering
sleigh rides. I really must get around to placing a list of the sites
on a page by itself. Somewhere along the way, I also wound up in charge
of marketing and promotion for Guns 4 Hire and that is consuming huge amounts
of my time.
The JANUARY
FEATURED SITE is Grandmother Beth, designed
and maintained by Beth Williams Gibson, a delightful lady from Texas.
On the Originals Page and
the Button Index page, you'll see a new graphic from Dsigns by TeaCups,
a site out of Singapore. Trisha left a note in my guest book, and
after visiting her site, I added my pages to her Top 50 Graphics Sites
listing. To vote for Masters Digital Design, please click on the
logo for TeaCups appearing on either of those two pages. I've resisted
joining any of these rings and lists in the past, but Trisha's site really
caught my attention with the personal information about herself and her
family, the wonderful eastern recipes, and the beautiful border sets.
I even broke down and made my first background set -- something
I swore I would never do. I've also joined the COMPUTER
FRIENDS WEB RING and you'll find their logo
on my personal page. |

A gorgeous surprise arrived
in the email this morning! I received a NEW
AWARD today, from my daughter Krista.
What a special treat it was to see how far she's come since starting her
own web site only a couple of months ago. Thank you, Krista. |

I received two new awards
this week. The FIRST
ONE arrived from Something Fishy at the beginning
of the week.. The SECOND
ONE came from Ken Eves of the WebMasters Award
Site along with a suggestion regarding text margins. It definitely has
made an improvement on the way these pages display. Thank you, Ken,
for going 'above and beyond'. Something Fishy is a joint effort
by husband and wife team, Tony and Amy. Their site contains music,
art, and educational resources surrounding what they call 'causes we stand
for'.
Something Wonderful:), the
creation of Nathaniel David Harari from Tel Aviv, Israel, is the FEBRUARY
FEATURED SITE. |

High Density Computing presented
Masters Digital Design with THE
HAWK AWARD, a beautiful graphic from a site
specializing in web site development. Unique to this design team
is their willingness to provide training to their clients in the maintenance
of any site they build, thereby enabling even the most budget-conscious
customer to keep their pages current and up to date. |

During the Christmas season,
1999, I received a GIFT
FROM TANIA RIFFEY, and then promptly 'misplaced'
is somewhere on my computer. I finally located it last week and it
is now on the Treasures page. Thank you, Tania, for the LOVELY
ROSES (and for being so patient in waiting
for me to get them on the site).
Due to the increasing amount
of junk mail I've been receiving, I have removed my email address from
each page. If you wish to send me a message, please use the email
link on the CONTACT PAGE.
The logo for CIBC's line
of casual day wear has been selected and you can view the one that was
chosen from the work-ups I submitted.
While exploring for a site
to feature for March, I came across 3 Moons Castle, a beautifully designed
site with sections such as Moon Lore, Tarot, Wiccan, and an awards program
encased in The Keep. Lauranna, the owner, began building sites in
July 1998 and since then, has taught and written courses on HTML, as well
as administering a free online HTML university for GeoCities. She has been
kind enough to bestow the BRONZE
AWARD to these pages, along with an invitation
to reapply for one of the higher awards, in the future.
And, of course, the blatantly
obvious ... a new design for the whole site. Will I ever be satisfied? |
